Marie Campagna Franklin (Marie C. Franklin) is a writer and college professor of journalism, and a former staff member with The Boston Globe. Her work focuses on using print and digital media to empower youth to express themselves in written and visual journalism while making a positive difference in their communities. She wrote and edited education related news for the Boston Globe newspaper for more than two decades and is the founding editor of the paper’s Teens in Print section. Author of “Rookie Restaurateur,” in the 2004 anthology, “Matter of Choice,” published by Seal Press, she currently teaches and advises journalism students at Lasell College in Newton, MA. She lives in Newton and Chatham, MA, with her husband Bill and is the mother of two grown daughters. Her passions include: helping students find their passions, travel, cooking and gardening, photography, and saving five dollar bills!
